FAQ
Why does decoded text look garbled?
This tool decodes as UTF-8. Content encoded with GBK or another charset will fail with an error and needs to be converted with the matching encoding first.
What is URL-safe Base64?
It replaces + and / with - and _ and drops trailing = padding, so the output can be used safely in URLs and file names.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Encoding and decoding run entirely in your browser and nothing is stored.
