FAQ
Does it handle emoji?
Yes. Characters above FFFF are written as \u{1F600} in JavaScript format and as 😀 in HTML format.
How do the three formats differ?
JavaScript escapes fit inside string literals; U+ notation is common in documentation and specs; HTML numeric entities can be pasted directly into markup.
Are printable ASCII characters escaped?
No. Letters, digits and common symbols stay unchanged so the output remains readable. Only non-ASCII content such as CJK characters, emoji and control characters is escaped.
